Art AfterHours – Wet Felting at Hill Country Council for the Arts

Art AfterHours – Wet Felting introduces participants to the fiber art technique of wet felting, a process that transforms loose wool fibers into fabric through layering, moisture, and agitation. This hands-on workshop explores how color, texture, and movement work together to create felt, resulting in a rich, tactile material. Participants will experiment with adding color and synthetic metallic fibers to create sheen, visual interest, and imagery within the felt.
The class will take place on April 28 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Hill Country Council for the Arts, located at 102 City Park Rd., Boerne, TX 78006. The cost to attend is $35 and includes guided instruction throughout the session. Finished felt pieces can be incorporated into future projects such as appliqué, embroidery, needle felting, or jewelry, making this class a versatile introduction to fiber arts.
