The course is specially crafted with the safety and enjoyment of our youngest participants in mind\, as it is an out-and-back route\, making it the perfect introduction to the world of running. Parents are encouraged to run or walk with their children. \nJoin us for an exhilarating 5K run that promises not just a challenge for your body but an experience for your spirit. This event is designed for runners of all levels\, from seasoned athletes to those just starting their fitness journey. The scenic route will take you through picturesque landscapes\, offering a perfect blend of urban and natural surroundings. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying a morning jog\, the 5K run promises a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie. We prefer that children 1st grade and younger do not run without supervision. \nLace-up your running shoes\, bring the whole family\, and make this event a day to remember! \nThe first 350 registered are guaranteed shirts and medals.

SUMMARY:Yoga in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Participate in Yoga in the Park with Boerne Parks and Recreation! These monthly outdoor sessions take place at the Amphitheater at Boerne Library under the guidance of Janeen Castillo from Grounded Movement\, a local certified yoga instructor. \nEach class is designed with a focus on monthly themes and goals\, including enhancing shoulder mobility\, fostering balance\, easing hip tension\, among others. Through these sessions\, attendees will delve into the principles of breath and movement rooted in yoga practices. Emphasis will be placed on cultivating body awareness and adapting to the individual needs of participants in their yoga journey. Yoga mats\, blocks\, and additional equipment will be readily available for use during the classes. \nClasses take place on the second Saturday of the month and are $20.
