DESCRIPTION:Visitors can explore one of Texas’ most pristine waterways during the Honey Creek Guided Walk\, held every Saturday through October 31\, 2026\, from 8:30 am to 11 am at Guadalupe River State Park\, 3350 Park Road 31\, Spring Branch\, TX 78070. Sponsored by the Friends of Guadalupe River State Park and Honey Creek State Natural Area\, the program features certified guides who lead participants on an interpretive walk through the area’s unique natural landscape. \nThe guided hike covers approximately two miles and is considered moderately difficult. Much of the trail is flat\, though it includes some rocky terrain\, slopes\, and two short but steep hills. The walk typically lasts about two and a half hours\, with frequent stops to discuss local flora\, fauna\, geology\, and the cultural history of the region. \nThe program is recommended for ages 7 and older. Dogs are not permitted\, except for service animals. Participants will meet outside the Rust House within Guadalupe River State Park and are encouraged to wear sturdy footwear and bring water and sun protection. \nRegistration is required and may be completed at https://fs18.formsite.com/TPWD/tntfhrb0ko/index. If ADA assistance is needed\, requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance by emailing accessibility@tpwd.texas.gov. Participants should arrive at Honey Creek Ranch at 8:50 am\, with directions and a map provided by email three days before the event to those who register. Guests are encouraged to bring sturdy footwear\, water\, sun protection\, and binoculars. A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow. \nAdmission is free with park entry. Park admission is $7 for adults\, and children 12 and under enter free.
