SUMMARY:Boerne City Campus Natural Area (BCCNA) Workday
DESCRIPTION:Join us for BCCNA workdays! The BCCNA project involves the restoration and enhancement of the Boerne City Campus Natural Area (BCCNA). The BCCNA is comprised of 13-acres on either side of the Old No. 9 Trail\, behind the library. If you don’t see us at the windmill\, walk out behind the library across the creek as we’ve likely already started! \nEach volunteer will be required to fill out the City of Boerne’s liability waiver the first time he or she volunteers. \nContact Jeff Schwarz at jeffschwarz27@gmail.com for more info.

SUMMARY:Arbor Day Tree Planting at Old No. 9 Trail – Extension
DESCRIPTION:Boerne Parks & Recreation will host an Arbor Day Tree Planting event on Tuesday\, November 4\, at 10:00 am along the Old No. 9 Trail – Extension. This community celebration offers residents the chance to take part in planting new trees in honor of Arbor Day. \nWhile many observe Arbor Day in spring\, fall is actually the ideal season for tree planting in this region. Cooler temperatures and seasonal rainfall help young trees establish strong roots\, giving them a better chance to grow and thrive in the Texas Hill Country climate. \nThis year’s tree planting is made possible with the support of The Rotary Club of Boerne and Burkett Arbor Care\, both helping promote a greener and more sustainable future for Boerne. \nCommunity members of all ages are invited to participate and help shape the landscape for generations to come.

SUMMARY:Stuff the Truck
DESCRIPTION:Back-to-school season is just around the corner\, and the Boerne Fire Department is fired up to make a difference once again! Join us for our annual Stuff the Fire Truck school supply drive benefiting students in the Boerne Independent School District.\n\nFirefighters will be on-site at the H-E-B in Boerne collecting new school supplies to support local students and teachers as they gear up for the new academic year. From backpacks and binders to pencils and paper\, every donation helps ensure BISD kids walk into class ready to learn and succeed.\n\nThis effort is made possible in partnership with Love Kendall County Kids\, a local organization dedicated to supporting and empowering children in our community.\n\nWhether you’re donating supplies\, spreading the word\, or simply stopping by to show your support\, your participation helps fill more than just a fire truck—it helps fill classrooms with opportunity and encouragement.\nLet’s come together as a community and make sure every student starts the year with the tools they need to thrive. See you at H-E-B in Boerne!\n\nIf you’re interested in donating\, Stuff the Truck runs July 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
