DESCRIPTION:Nature enthusiasts can explore one of Texas’ last pristine waterways during the Honey Creek Guided Walks with Ranger Gil at Guadalupe River State Park. Led by Honey Creek State Natural Area Superintendent Gil Martinez\, the interpretive walk offers an in-depth look at the natural and cultural history of the Honey Creek area. \nThe guided hikes will take place from 8:30 am to 10:30 am on June 3\, June 17\, July 1\, and July 15. Participants will travel along a moderate two-mile trail featuring mostly flat terrain along with some rocky sections\, slopes\, and two short but steep hills. Frequent stops throughout the walk allow guests to learn about local flora\, fauna\, geology\, and the region’s historical significance. \nThe program is recommended for ages 7 and older. Dogs are not permitted\, with the exception of service animals. Guests should meet outside the Rust House within Guadalupe River State Park and are encouraged to wear sturdy footwear\, bring water\, and prepare for summer weather conditions with proper sun protection. \nAdmission to the walk is free with park entry. Park admission is $7 for adults\, while children ages 12 and under are admitted free. Registration is required for participation. Tiny Dancers for ages 3 to 5 meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 9:45 am from June 23 through July 16\, with tuition set at $275. The academy’s seasonal programs offer a range of ballet classes and intensives designed for students ages 3 and older. \nPrograms will run from June 15 through July 30 and include classes for multiple age groups and skill levels. Tiny Dancers for ages 3 to 5 meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 9:45 am from June 23 through July 16\, with tuition set at $275. Young Dancers for ages 6 to 8 meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 11 am during the same dates for $375. \nFor older students\, Youth Ballet for ages 8 and older meets Monday through Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm during sessions held June 22 through July 2 and July 20 through July 30. Tuition is $400 for two weeks or $600 for four weeks. Jr. Ballet Intensive for ages 10 and older meets from 1 pm to 4 pm Monday through Thursday during the same session dates\, with tuition priced at $600 for two weeks or $800 for four weeks. \nAdvanced Ballet Intensive for ages 14 and older takes place Monday through Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm during both summer sessions.
