DESCRIPTION:Competitive cornhole takes over Tusculum Brewing Company each Thursday during the Weekly Switcholio tournament series at 108 Newton Alley\, Boerne\, TX 78006-2475. Players can warm up during open boards beginning at 6 pm\, with check-in at 6:30 pm and Round Robin Switch play starting promptly at 7 pm on select dates throughout the season. \nThe tournament features four games of round robin play followed by a switch double elimination bracket\, guaranteeing a total of six games. Teams are formed through a 50/50 pairing format\, matching a random top-half player with a random bottom-half player. If there is an odd number of participants\, a ghost player will be manually placed. An airmail competition takes place between round robin and bracket play for added excitement. \nThe entry fee is $15\, with 70 percent payout awarded to the top three finishers. Tournament times vary throughout the year: February 12 through March 5 runs from 7 pm to 10:30 pm; March 12 through October 29 runs from 6 pm to 9:30 pm; and November 5 through December 17 returns to 7 pm to 10:30 pm. The event will take place in the green space between Boerne City Hall and the Patrick Heath Public Library in Boerne\, TX. \nA total of 150 trees will be distributed to current City of Boerne residents and Boerne Utilities customers\, limited to one tree per person. To receive a tree\, participants must present a current City of Boerne utility bill. Trees will be provided on a first-come\, first-served basis\, and no reservations for specific species are required. Organizers anticipate that supplies may be gone before lunchtime. \nTrees are offered in 3-gallon containers and include a mix of large overstory and shade-tolerant understory species such as Cedar Elm\, Bald Cypress\, Chickasaw Plum\, Eastern Redbud\, Bur Oak\, Cottonwood\, Roughleaf Dogwood\, Anacua\, Rusty Blackhaw\, and Box Elder.
