SUMMARY:Beginner Quilting Workshop – Saturday Sessions at Sew It Fabulous
DESCRIPTION:Sew It Fabulous is offering a five-session Beginner Quilting Workshop designed for those ready to explore the art of quilt-making. Students will learn the fundamentals of fabric selection\, rotary cutting\, thread use\, mastering a 1/4″ seam allowance\, and assembling traditional quilt blocks. Participants will leave with a completed quilt top\, a binder full of workshop resources\, and the confidence to continue quilting on their own. \nThe first session will take place on Saturday\, September 27 from 9:30 am to noon at the Sew It Fabulous store at 111 Parkway Dr.\, Suite 101\, Boerne\, TX. Sessions 2 through 5 will be held at an offsite classroom at 111 Canyon Ridge Dr.\, Boerne\, TX. The remaining class dates are October 4\, 11\, 18\, and 25\, all from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. \nTuition is $150 for all five sessions and includes a binder with materials and patterns. Supplies are not included\, but participants will receive a 20% discount on in-store purchases during the first session. A $15 portion of the fee is non-refundable; the balance is refundable as store credit up to 14 days before the workshop begins. \nParticipants must have a working sewing machine\, a 1/4″ foot\, and the ability to thread and operate their machine. Expect minimal shade and plenty of classic late-September Texas heat—hot\, humid\, and demanding. \nAid stations will be fully stocked with cold water\, electrolytes\, fuel\, and first aid to support runners along the course. At the finish line\, participants can cool off with a refreshing dip in the Guadalupe River\, located just steps away. \nAll finishers will receive a race shirt and a medal as a reward for conquering the course. \nSpectators are welcome but must purchase a $10 “Buddy Pass” in advance\, as the venue is private property. \nThis event is organized by I Run Texas.
