DESCRIPTION:Take the plunge for a great cause at the Freezin’ for a Reason Boerne Polar Plunge on Saturday\, February 21\, 2026\, at Boerne City Lake\, located at 100 Boerne City Lake Park. This exhilarating event supports over 2\,000 Special Olympics Texas athletes by providing year-round sports training\, competition\, and health programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities. \nThe plunge is open to all ages\, with children under 12 required to participate with a parent or guardian. Floaties and life vests will not be provided\, but participants are encouraged to bring their own if needed. A lifeguard will be on duty\, and all participants must sign a waiver. \nAwards will be given for the top individual fundraiser\, the team that raises the most money\, and the best costume. \nEvent Schedule: \n\nRegistration begins at 9:30 am\nOpening ceremonies at 10 am\nThe plunge starts at 10:15 am\n\nEntry Fees: \n\n$40 for adults\n$25 for youth\n\nAdditional fundraising is encouraged\, with exciting incentives available based on fundraising levels. \nFor more information and to register\, visit the event website.
