DESCRIPTION:The Diablo del Desperado Trail Race brings grit\, heat\, and high reward to the rugged trails of the Texas Hill Country. Set for Saturday\, September 27\, with a 7:30 am start time\, this endurance challenge takes place at the private Desperado Resort\, located at 646 FM 474\, Boerne\, TX 78006. \nDesigned for runners who thrive in tough conditions\, the course offers 30K\, 10K\, and 5K options through rocky canyon trails\, steep ascents\, and winding single track terrain. Expect minimal shade and plenty of classic late-September Texas heat—hot\, humid\, and demanding. \nAid stations will be fully stocked with cold water\, electrolytes\, fuel\, and first aid to support runners along the course. At the finish line\, participants can cool off with a refreshing dip in the Guadalupe River\, located just steps away. \nAll finishers will receive a race shirt and a medal as a reward for conquering the course. \nSpectators are welcome but must purchase a $10 “Buddy Pass” in advance\, as the venue is private property. \nThis event is organized by I Run Texas. DESCRIPTION:The Desperado Gravel Run & Ruck returns to the rugged terrain of Boerne on Saturday\, May 17\, 2025. Hosted at the developing Desperado Resort property\, this unique endurance event features a variety of gravel runs and weighted ruck divisions across scenic and challenging trails. \nAll race categories begin at 7:30 am and take place on a mix of loose gravel roads and single-track trails. Participants can choose from the following events: \n\n20k Gravel Run – $65 through April 30; $75 after\n10k Gravel Run – $55 through April 30; $65 after\n5k Gravel Run – $45 through April 30; $55 after\n20k Ruck – $65 through April 30; $75 after\n10k Ruck – $55 through April 30; $65 after\n\nRuck participants must carry a weighted pack for the duration of their race. Those under 150 lbs must carry at least 20 lbs; those 150 lbs and over must carry at least 30 lbs. \nSpectators are welcome with the purchase of a $10 Buddy Pass\, which includes access to the resort property\, river\, post-race festivities\, and beverages for guests 21 and older. \nRegistration is available online through May 17.
