It’s college bowl season, and the NFL playoffs are right around the corner. And sometimes it’s nice to get out of the house and watch a game with friends at a sports bar.
And over the last few years here in Boerne, we’ve accrued several great sports bars around town. So whether you’re cheering on the Longhorns or hoping to see the Spurs return to their former glory, here are some of the best places to watch sports in Boerne.
28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen

Address: 110 Market Ave, Boerne, TX 78006
28 Songs Brewhouse + Kitchen is a veteran-owned brewery on the north side of Main. Plenty of TVs, good food, and the most beers on tap on this list. For Happy Hour you get $1 off house brews – which is generally 23 or 24 of the 28 taps!
For game day, there’s a wall of TV’s to make sure you see whatever action you’re wanting to watch.
Sauced Wing Bar

Address: 215 W Bandera Rd, Boerne, TX 78006
Sauced Wing Bar is a lively spot for game day with wings, cold drinks, and a true sports bar atmosphere. With plenty of screens and a fun crowd, it’s the perfect place to dive into some wings and enjoy every moment of the game with friends and fellow fans.
The other good thing about Sauced is they have a great covered patio with plenty of TVs as well, as well as some good happy hour specials throughout the week and trivia on Wednesdays.

Free Roam Brewing Company

Address: 325 S Main Boerne, TX 78006
Located in the heart of downtown Boerne, Free Roam Brewing Company is a top spot for catching the game while enjoying locally crafted brews. This brewery has a casual, community-centered vibe, and features some really great food trucks like Lupe’s and Baodega to keep you fueled up.
Plus, it’s dog-friendly, so you can bring along your furry friends! It’s owned by former MLB pitcher Jeremy Affeldt, so it’s no surprise this is a great spot to catch a game. There’s even some great baseball decor inside like the Wall of Bats.
There’s also a great beer garden here with live music on the weekends and karaoke on many Wednesdays. they always have a big Super Bowl watch party too.
Lost Oak Cellars

Address: 111 Rosewood Ave, Boerne, TX 78006
Prefer wine with your sports? Then you’re going to want to head to Lost Oak Cellars in the middle of town. They have a large 75-inch TV with a split screen to watch up to four games.
Fair Oaks Roost

Address: 9091 Fair Oaks Pkwy, Boerne, TX 78015
Fair Oaks Roost is on the southern side of Boerne in Fair Oaks, right off Interstate 10 and Fair Oaks Parkway, where Conroy’s Pub used to be. This is a true sports bar through and through. and I’m pretty sure it has the most TVs on the list. It also has pool, gaming machines, and more so you can have fun while you watch.
Most recently, I watched the Astros lose a playoff game here while I worked on my computer during a late lunch. While I was sad my team lost, I enjoyed experiencing The Roost for the first time.
Oh, and incidentally, this is a true late night bar that stay open until 2 am on the weekends.
Inferno’s Wood Fired Pizza

Inferno’s Wood Fired Pizza is not only known for its delicious wood-fired pies but also for its cozy setting that’s perfect for cheering on your team. With a range of spirits, craft beers, and crowd-pleasing appetizers, Inferno’s combines great food with a warm, family-friendly environment that makes watching the game a pleasure.
There’s also a good patio and playground to keep the kids busy if you’re wanting to bring the family along for the game.
