If you’re on the hunt for hidden treasures, great deals, and a little adventure, Boerne has you covered with an array of thrift stores offering everything from vintage finds to brand-name clothing. And perhaps the best part is, our thrift stores do a lot of heavy lifting in raising funds to support local causes.
So with that in mind, here’s your guide to some of the best spots to thrift in town where you can also give back.

As construction continues along, Honda of Boerne has begun hiring as they work toward an early fall opening.
The dealership broke ground last year and is owned by the Pohanka Automotive Group, a family-owned company that’s been around since 1919. They’re currently building their local team ahead of launch, with openings across several departments.

Faith and Funky Junk

This massive warehouse-style store on the far north end of Boerne is a treasure hunter’s dream. Faith & Funky Junk has lots of art, furniture, cool lamps and vintage finds. You’ll also come across bikes, scooters, doors, and even appliances on the side of the building.
They have several great sales throughout the year, such as 50% off the entire store (with a couple caveats).
Whether you’re searching for furniture, collectibles, or quirky decor, you never know what you’ll uncover at Faith and Funky Junk. The name definitely does it justice! Learn more about them here.
Hill Country Animal League Thrift Store

Located next to Sonic, this is one of our most-frequented thrift stores for gifts, clothing, antiques, vintage items, and more – this thrift store offers something for everyone. In particular, you can’t beat their sales on frames and lamps, or their $1.99 decorative pillows.
Over the years, we’ve found this to be a good spot for bicycles… a little pro-tip for ya! In fact, they have great deals on all sorts of stuff out back. You’ll find some good project pieces on the cheap here, too.

The Sisters’ Attic Thrift and Resale Shop

From gently used clothing to unique household collectibles, The Sisters’ Attic has an eclectic mix of finds. In particular, we’ve found some good deals on kids clothes here, as well as handbags.
Seniors aged 50+ enjoy a 10% discount every Wednesday, and wearing red on Fridays earns you 10% off in support of our military. This is located on the grounds of The Benedictine Sisters of Boerne – St. Scholastica Monastery, making it an extra cool stop. Learn more here.

Random Hangers carries a good selection of clothing and household goods. They have a pretty extensive shoe section as well as men’s clothing. But we come here namely for the building out back, which often has lots of art and household goods. In between the two buildings outside you can sometimes find a good bike, outdoor toy, etc.

This upscale thrift store offers a curated selection of household goods, name-brand clothing, and furniture. Occasionally they’ll have a $1 clothing sale, as well as a sale rack out front. Proceeds go to the Kendall County Women’s Shelter, so every purchase contributes to a great cause. Learn more.
HauteSecond

If your idea of thrifting leans more toward boutique styles and designer labels, HauteSecond is one to know about. This curated designer thrift boutique carries gently loved clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories at a fraction of their original retail prices.
There’s a catch: you can’t just pop in whenever you want. HauteSecond is generally only open twice a month — the second Thursday of each month from 4:30 to 8 pm and the last Saturday of each month from 8:30 to 11:30 am. They also occasionally hold special pop-up shopping events, so it’s worth following along for updates before making the trip.
And there’s a great local cause behind it. Purchases help support Transformation House, a local nonprofit serving women and children as they rebuild their lives. Learn more.

While it’s not a non-profit, there’s a new concept in town thrifters will want to know about called Linen & Dove. This boutique-meets-thrift store-meets consignment shop is full of “consignment closets” that individuals rent out and fill with various second hand goods. Each week, different people come in and refill with new goods.
