Boerne Library Playground

Location: 451 North Main Street, Boerne, TX 78006
One of the newest playgrounds in town, the Boerne Library Playground sits behind the Patrick Heath Public Library in a grassy yard near the amphitheater. This playground was made possible by a generous donation from the Boerne Library Foundation, and it quickly became a favorite among local families. The shady spot makes it a great place to play, especially in the warmer months.
This is currently our favorite playground! We love exploring down by the dry creek and the natural area across it as well.
Kinder Park

Location: 111 Water Street, Boerne, TX 78006
Kinder Park is known for its giant slide, making it a favorite for adventurous kids. The slide has recently been repaired, and brand new restrooms have been added. There’s a ton of shade, making this a great spot to play when it’s warm outside. Great spot for a birthday party!
Ammie’s Playground at City Park

Location: 106 City Park Road, Boerne, TX 78006
Recently remodeled, Ammie’s Playground at Boerne City Park is now a fully handicap-accessible space designed to be inclusive for children of all abilities. The renovation made this a more welcoming playground for families looking for a safe, engaging, and barrier-free play area.
Northrop Park

Location: 37550 IH-10 West, Boerne, TX 78006
This baseball-focused park features a playground in front of the fields, providing a place for younger kids to play while older siblings compete. While it’s a fenced-in area, there’s not a lot of shade, so it can get hot during peak summer months.
This is one of the lesser-frequented parks in town, so you won’t often find many people here.
Greenman’s Lookout at Cibolo Nature Center

Location: 140 City Park Road, Boerne, TX 78006
For families looking for something more natural and adventurous, Greenman’s Lookout at Cibolo Nature Center is an excellent choice. This natural playscape is built with stumps, logs, and other nature-inspired elements, with a fort with a winding staircase that is the star of the show. The area is well-shaded, making it a great place for kids to play while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.
And you’re right near the creek crossing where the kids can play in the water!
Joshua Springs Park

Location: 716 FM 289, Comfort, TX 78006
Technically located in Comfort, just outside Boerne, Joshua Springs Park features a fantastic playground. The main play structure is tall, which is great for older kids but can be a bit intimidating for little ones. But they do have a toddler playset over to the left that you can see in the picture above.
It’s a great spot for families looking for an outdoor adventure.

Mary’s Tacos
Location: 518 E. Blanco Road, Boerne, TX 78006
Mary’s Tacos has a playground behind the restaurant, but it doesn’t see much use. There are some cracks and wear, so parents should check it out before letting kids play.
N’s Thai Food

N’s Thai Food added a playground next to their patio a couple of years ago, making it a great option for families looking for a casual meal with some entertainment for the kids.
Pure Country BBQ & Grill
Location: 1481 S. Main Street, Boerne, TX 78006
Pure Country BBQ features a playscape in the back corner of the property, providing a great place for kids to play while parents enjoy some barbecue. This is one of the more well-known playgrounds in town, so there’s often a lot of action.
Indoor Playground Options
The Play Patch in Fair Oaks Ranch
Location: 9091 Fair Oaks Parkway, Suite 206
The Play Patch is a cozy, thoughtfully designed play café where kids can explore, imagine, and create… while adults get a moment to breathe. So not a playground in a traditional sense, but a play area for the littlest ones with plenty of room for imaginative play.
Arrows Play Park
Location: 3 Kelton Avenue, Boerne, TX 78006
For a fully indoor playground, Arrows Play Park is the largest indoor play structure in Boerne (and the surrounding area!), standing three stories tall. Located on the east side of town, it’s a great place for kids to run, climb, and explore—especially when the weather isn’t cooperating.
Burger King
Location: 1327 S. Main Street, Boerne, TX 78006
Burger King has one of the only indoor playgrounds in Boerne, making it a great option for rainy or hot days when outdoor play isn’t ideal.
