December is here and hopefully some cold weather comes with it. In Boerne, this might be the best month of the year. If you don’t know, Christmas is a big deal in this town. And that means we have so much cool stuff to do.

6. ’Tis the Season to Be Wined at Richter Tavern – Dec 4

7. The Great Gatsby at Champion High School Theatre – Dec 4–7

Champion Theatre brings the Roaring Twenties to life in their production of The Great Gatsby, with shows December 4–6 and a matinee on December 7. Learn more

8. The Jones Christmas Ranch – Through Dec 31

Drive through more than four million synchronized Christmas lights set to music at The Jones Christmas Ranch off I-10. Open nightly with per-car admission and season passes available.

9. Holiday Movies on the Lawn at Tapatio Springs – Weekends in Dec

Enjoy classic Christmas films under the stars with complimentary cocoa and loaner blankets each Friday and Saturday evening on the Bluffs Event Lawn.

10. Stocking Stroll on the Hill Country Mile – Dec 5–6

Explore downtown Boerne and fill a holiday stocking with treats and surprises from participating shops from 10 am–5 pm both days.

11. Old West Christmas Light Fest at Enchanted Springs Ranch – Select Nights

Walk an Old West town glowing with lights, live music, Santa photos, kids’ activities, ornament making, and more on weekends through December 21 and several days before Christmas.

16. 8th Annual Chili Cook-Off at Comfort Golden Age Center – Dec 6

Comfort hosts its annual CASI-sanctioned chili cook-off with a new amateur division from 9 am–5 pm at 628 Front St.

17. HCCFIT Saturday Sweat Sesh at Free Roam – Dec 6

18. Down Home Christmas at The AgriCultural – Dec 6

Boerne’s 38th annual Weihnachts Parade lights up Main Street at 6 pm with more than 100 festive floats and performances.

20. A Walk in Bethlehem at St. Helena’s – Dec 9–10

Step into a recreated Bethlehem and walk through the Nativity story with costumed characters, Roman guards, angels, and the Holy Family at St. Helena’s Episcopal Church.

21. Kinder Fest on the Hill Country Mile – Dec 12–14

Bring the kids for a Christmas weekend with cookie crawls, scavenger hunts, silly sweaters, pajamas, and more all along the Hill Country Mile.

22. The Night Before the Night Before Christmas at Boerne Community Theatre – Dec 12–21

Main Plaza fills with artisan booths and holiday shopping from 10 am–5 pm Saturday and 10 am–4 pm Sunday.

25. Jingle All the Way 5K/10K & Fun Run – Dec 13

Run or walk this festive community race starting at Patrick Heath Public Library, supporting Transformation House.

26. Pajamas and Pancakes at nineteen:ten church – Dec 13

Kids can enjoy pancakes, games, and activities from 9–11 am at nineteen:ten church.

27. Breakfast with Santa at the Boerne Family YMCA – Dec 13

Families can enjoy a pancake breakfast, kids’ crafts, and Santa photos from 9:30–10:30 am at the YMCA.

28. The Bizarre Duck’s Bazaar at Dodging Duck Brewhaus – Dec 13

Browse handmade artisan goods in the Biergarten while enjoying craft beer at this outdoor market.

29. Santa Photos at Bones and Bubbles Dog Spa – Dec 13

Bring your pup for free Santa photos and treats from 12:30–2:30 pm at Bones and Bubbles.

30. Cookies With Santa at Rise Property Group – Dec 14

Enjoy free Santa photos, cookies, and hot chocolate during this family-friendly afternoon gathering.

31. A Very Merry Christmas Concert at Boerne High School – Dec 14

The Boerne Concert Band performs music from Frozen, The Grinch, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and more at the BHS auditorium.

32. Boerne Chanukah Celebration at Main Plaza – Dec 17

Celebrate Chanukah with the menorah lighting, a chocolate gelt drop from the Bergheim Fire Department, and community festivities from 5:30–7:30 pm.

33. Merry Craftsmas at Patrick Heath Public Library – Dec 17

Guests can create Memory Ornaments honoring loved ones during this all-ages craft night led by Sarah Habeeb.

34. Pre-Christmas Party at 28 Songs Brewhouse – Dec 20

Party with the entire family at 28 Songs Brewhouse in advance of Christmas. Santa will be there from 2-4 pm. Try their Eggnog beer!

35. Christmas Market at Pure Country BBQ & Grill – Dec 20

Shop local vendors, enjoy live music by Reece Wade, and soak in the holiday atmosphere from noon–4 pm.

36. Cowboy Christmas Market Days in Boerne – Dec 20

This one-day holiday market fills Main Plaza with last-minute gift shopping from 10 am–5 pm.

37. Winter Solstice Concert at Cave Without a Name – Dec 20

Rudi & the Rudiments perform underground in the cave at 7 pm for a unique Winter Solstice celebration. Ticket info here

38. Brunch with Santa at The Bevy – Dec 20

The Bevy Hotel hosts a festive Santa brunch from 9 am–1 pm with a holiday buffet and kid-friendly activities.

39. Christmas in the City on Boerne Main Plaza – Dec 24

Nineteen:ten church hosts a one-hour Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 pm with cocoa, a kids’ choir, and giveaway bags.

40. Midnight in Paris NYE Event – Dec 31

Join Singing Water Vineyards in the hills of Comfort for this NYE event from 3 – 6 pm. Ticket includes food and wine. Watch the ball drop at 5 pm in Paris, be home by dark! Learn more here
