When we first moved to Boerne, it seemed like the streets rolled up at dark. Not only was there barely anything going on, but trying to find any info on things to do at night proved… challenging.
And while some may lament the crazy growth we’ve recently experienced, one perk is we now have some great options for things to do at night in Boerne. Whether you’re looking for a date night or just a night out with the friends, if you’re interested in what’s available after dark in town, then this guide is for you!
Powered by Time Out Sitters

If you’re a parent, it can be hard to leave the kids for a night out on the town. That’s why we’re excited to partner with Time Out Sitters, who has been helping busy parents find dependable, vetted sitters for over 12 years.
Owned by Boerne resident Katie and her lifelong best friend Tiffany, Time Out Sitters is built on trust, safety, and relationships. Every sitter goes through a thorough vetting process that includes background checks, CPR/First Aid certification, childcare references, and in-depth interviews. We even know a local church that uses their network when volunteer spots in children’s ministry go unfilled.
With more than 8,000 families served and 150+ certified sitters, their mission is simple: safe, flexible, and convenient childcare so you can enjoy your time out knowing your kids are in good hands.
Oh and a quick note – we do our best to verify all of this and keep it up-to-date, but things can change quickly. Sometimes by the day! So we always recommend you verify with the individual business!
What’s Open Late Night in Boerne?

Before we go into what to do, let’s discuss real quick what’s open late. If you’re not ready to go home, here are your options open past 10 pm. Spoiler alert: most of these are bars in Boerne that are open late.
- Salvador Dobbs – Probably the most popular late night spot in Boerne, Salvador Dobbs is open until midnight every day of the week. There’s a pool table, shuffle board, dart board, and various events such as karaoke, and live music throughout the week.
- The Valeria Lounge – The Valeria Lounge is the newest cocktail bar on this list, and is open Monday through Saturday until 11 pm.
- Longbranch Saloon – A favorite for longtime locals, this dive bar is open until midnight every night of the week except Sundays, when it closes at 10:00 pm. This is a cash beer and wine bar. Plenty of pool tables, a juke box, karaoke, and more. Pro tip – Saturday nights is free pool and open jukebox. Worth noting, smoking is allowed here.
- Free Roam Brewing Company – Free Roam is typically open until 10:30 pm on weekdays and 12 pm on weekends. They have events like trivia, as well as special speakers. And there are usually food trucks open late. So check the event calendar! Oh and worth noting, during the day, the beer garden is kid-friendly, so expect to see them running around.
- 259 Brantley’s Beer Garden – Brantley’s has a beautiful beer garden and is open Friday and Saturday until 11 pm. You can get beer, wine, and cocktails and there’s live music most weekends.
- The Bevy Lounge – The bar at the Bevy Hotel (aka the B Lounge, although I don’t know anyone who calls it that other than their website) is open 7 days a week until 11 pm, and has some pretty solid cocktails.
- Drink Texas Boerne – If you feel like venturing to the south end of town off I-10, Drink Texas is open until 2 am Thursday-Saturday. The rest of the night it’s open until midnight.
- Boerne Turn Verin – The old bowling alley is open until 11 pm on Saturday’s only for open bowl. We recommend you call before heading out, because sometimes they’ll have league play instead. Also worth noting that smoking is still allowed here.
- Oben – Walk through the unmarked red door on the second floor of The Richter to find this hidden speakeasy. It’s open Thursday from 4-10 pm and Friday – Saturday from 4-11 pm. It used to be members-only, but now it’s open to the public!
- The Oak – This is a members-only bar that’s open until midnight on the weekends, 11 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and 10 pm on Monday and Tuesday.
- Lost Oak Cellars – A new spot in Boerne, Lost Oak Cellars is located in an old funeral parlor! It’s open until 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
- Las Palapas – Want some Tex Mex and margaritas? Las Palapas is open until midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 11 pm the rest of the week except 10 pm on Sunday.
- Denny’s – If you’re looking for late night food, the Denny’s across from HEB serves breakfast until midnight.
- Fair Oaks Roost – If you’re looking for a late night spot in Fair Oaks, this business took over the location where Conroy’s Pub used to be. They’re open until 12 am all week, and until 2 am on Friday and Saturday nights.
Restaurants and Bars in Boerne That Close at 10 PM or Earlier
I’d say on average, most Boerne hangouts close around 10 pm, with some watering holes closing even earlier. Here’s a look at some fun night options that won’t keep you out too late:
- 28 Songs Brewhouse – If you’re on the north end of Main Street, you can grab a beer until 10 pm on the weekends at 28 Songs. The rest of the week they close at 9 pm, except Sundays they close at 8 pm and closed on Mondays.
- Camp Bar Boerne – One of Boerne’s newer cocktail bars in the historic Diamon Hospital next to Bear Moon, it’s open Tuesday – Sunday, 4 pm – 10 pm.
- Indulge – Out on the east side of town, Indulge focuses on wine and craft cocktails. It’s on the East side of town headed out towards Bergheim. It’s open until 10 pm Friday and Saturday, closed on Sunday, and open until 9 pm the rest of the week.
- Darkside After Dark – Also on the east side of town, this 80’s Predator-themed bar is a new addition to Boerne. It’s open 11 am – 8 pm Tuesday – Thursday, 11 am – 9 pm Friday and Saturday, and 12 pm – 8 pm on Sundays.
- Botero Tapas + Wine Bar – It’s not open super late, but if you’re looking for a dark, sexy bar with the right mood for date night, this is your spot. On the weekends there’s usually flamenco or similar music going on the patio, and it stays open until 10 pm. Mondays it’s closed, and the rest of the week it’s open until 8 pm, except Sunday which closes early at 7 pm.
- Cibolo Creek Brewing – One of the most popular breweries on Main Street closes at 9 pm every night, except Tuesdays when it’s closed all day.
- Peggy’s on the Green Bar – If you’re looking for a classy, intimate bar, give Peggy’s a shot. But forewarning, you’re paying for “classy,” as most of the cocktails on the menu are $16. Peggy’s closes at 10 pm. It’s closed Monday and Tuesday, and open until 9 pm the rest of the week.
- Sauced Wing Bar – Sauced is a great place to eat wings, get some drinks, and watch a game. You can do so all week long until 9 pm, except it’s open until 10 pm Thursday – Saturday. Great patio!
- Roc-N-Ritas – If you’re into frozen cocktails, Roc-N-Ritas is your spot. It’s open Monday – Thursday until 8 pm, and 10 pm on the weekends. You can get cocktails to-go here.
- Cork and Keg – This downstairs bar in The Richter is a fun spot, but if you’re looking to go at night, you’re out of luck. It closes at 8 pm on the weekends, and 7 pm during the week.
- Richter Tavern – The upstairs counterpart to Cork and Keg, Richter Tavern isn’t open much later. 8 pm Tuesday – Thursday, and 9 pm Friday and Saturday. Sunday it closes after lunch at 3 pm. It’s too bad too, because they have a historic bar and a pretty cool setup all around.
- Dodging Duck – Boerne’s original craft brewery has a great patio to hang out on, as well as an intimate L-shaped bar inside that’s a good place to strike up conversation. It’s open until 10 pm on the weekends and 9 pm the rest of the week.
- Tusculum Brewing Company – This brewery has one of the most unique beer garden setups in town – in the old lumberyard right off the river trail. But it’s not much of a late night spot, as it’s only open until 9 pm on the weekends, 6 pm on Sundays, 8 pm on Thursdays, and closed Monday – Wednesday.
- La Cascada – If you want to mix things up, the scenery at La Cascada in Tapatio Springs is breathtaking. About a 10 minute drive from downtown straight out into the hills, once you’re there, it feels like you’re in the middle of California wine country. The bar is open until 10 pm on the weekends, and 9 pm the rest of the week.
