There’s nothing like enjoying a meal or drinks on a breezy patio. With that in mind, we rounded up five local spots that offer excellent patios for everything from coffee and brunch to dinner and drinks.
Note: for this list, we made sure to pick patios from all over town…not just the ones lining the Cibolo or sitting on Main Street.
Boerne Epicure Gourmet Market

Location: 210 S Main St
Epicure’s back patio is a bit of a hidden gem, as you may not know it even exists if you don’t turn in the parking lot. Trees and umbrellas shade the entire thing. Grab a sandwich, a sparkling water, and enjoy lunch outside.
El Chapparal

Location: 36 Old San Antonio Rd
We were really excited when El Chapparal announced they were coming back to Boerne. We were more excited when we saw the beautiful property they chose. And we were even more excited when we saw their amazing patio, complete with a playground, making it a very kid-friendly spot. Perfect for sipping margaritas!
La Cascada Table & Bar at Tapatio Springs

Location: 1 Resort Way
When you drive out to Tapatio Springs, it feels like you’re entering the California wine country or something. And the restaurant, La Cascada, has a great porch and patio that over looks the golf course, surrounded by rolling hills. The view just might be the best in Boerne.
Sunny’s All Day Brunch & Bar

Location: 518 River Rd
The newest restaurant on this list. Sunny’s All Day Brunch & Bar might have the best patio in town. Located next to Salvador Dobbs on River Road (another spot with a great patio), Sunny’s includes misters to make sure you stay cooled off. It’s also a covered patio, which keeps you safe from the summer sun. Great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The Creek

Location: 119 Staffel St
Tucked back behind Cibolo Creek Brewing Company (which has it’s own great patio), The Creek is a fine dining restaurant in town with a multi tiered deck with a water wheel that overlooks the Cibolo Creek. Enjoy dinner and cocktails on a breezy evening.
What’s your favorite patio in Boerne? Tell us in the comments below.

Just recently enjoyed a family celebration at the new Sunny’s restaurant. What fun to sit outside in the early evening with cool misters on. Our party of six really enjoyed our drinks & food choices. The guys in our group were fascinated by the fancy cars that go by on River Road. Can’t wait to do it again soon!
I am really hoping to find a free shredding event for paper. Please keep that on your radar so when you see it coming to Boerne you let us know. I read your guide everyday! Keep up the good work.
Most of the restaurants and bars in Boerne are unaffordable for most people. Sky high prices for beer and rather marginal food. do not make it a place where people can go out and enjoy themselves with a drink and a sandwich. In addition most places expect you to pay their help also with digital tipping devices that tell you how much to add to your bill. You won’t hear these comments from a website like yours, but nevertheless those are the facts. I remember when I arrived in Boerne years ago, you could go out and purchase a meal and a drink for a reasonable price. You cannot do that now no matter where you go.
It’s pretty much that way every where right now – not just a Boerne thing.
