2. Attend a Concert in a Cave

There are also plenty of opportunities to catch live music in Boerne, and any of those would make great date nights as well. But when it comes to making a musical date night extra special, then you need to get tickets to one of the musical performances at Cave without a Name.

This experience features modern acoustic melodies, vocal harmonies, and world-beat rhythms, performed in the enchanting atmosphere of a cave. The concert offers a visually and auditorily mesmerizing experience with portions of the performance in complete darkness, illuminated by candlelight.

Performances happen from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Cave Without A Name on various nights throughout the year. Tickets are priced at $35 in advance and $40 at the door. It’s an experience you and your loved one won’t forget. For the next performance, see the event series here.

Note, these usually sell out, so you need to buy tickets in advance!

3. Sing Karaoke

Sometimes it’s good to get out of your comfort zone – especially together. And what’s more uncomfortable than singing on stage in front of a bunch of strangers? Boerne and the surrounding area have plenty of opportunities to sing karaoke, from Salvador Dobbs to Longbranch Saloon on Friday nights.

And hey, even if you don’t sing, it’s fun to watch… that’s what we do. Although, maybe one day you’ll catch us with some liquid courage singing on stage, but I wouldn’t hold your breath if I were you. To see when and where to sing karaoke in Boerne this week, visit our guide.

4. Adult Night Hike at the Cibolo Nature Center

How about a little adventure under the stars? One Friday night each month, the Cibolo Nature Center hosts a night hike for adults only. During this hike, you’ll explore off the beaten path and look for nocturnal wild life. Just don’t forget to pack your water bottle and flashlight.

Embrace the mystery of the night while connecting with nature and each other. For more details on this enchanting experience, check out the event series.

5. Visit the Theatre

Did you know Boerne has it’s own local theatre? The Boerne Community Theatre puts on multiple different productions throughout the season. From romantic comedies to mysteries to Christmas productions, there’s something for everyone.

Performances are usually on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings as well as Sunday afternoons.

To learn more and secure your tickets, you can visit them on the web here.

6. Visit a Wine Tasting Room

This is a newer thing to do in Boerne, as in recent months, we’ve seen not one, not two, but three wine tasting rooms open off Main Street. Suddenly, we have tons of wine options right here in downtown! Here they are, in no particular order:

  • Lost Oak Cellars – Not long ago, Lost Oak Cellars was – are you ready for this? – a funeral home! Now it’s a late night spot in the heart of Boerne that you won’t want to miss.
  • Platinum Brix – Located off North Main in the Main Street Chateau, the Platinum Brix Wine Tasting Room shares a building with two local boutiques. So you can taste local wine grown right here in Boerne while doing some shopping!
  • DeVino Cellars – The newest wine tasting room in Boerne is still off Main Street, but it’s a little bit south of the Hill Country Mile. Featuring wines from all around the world, this is a spot for anyone looking to expand their palate.

Or for a full blown winery experience, head out to Singing Water Vineyard on the weekend. It’s gorgeous! Learn more about it here.

7. At Home Cocktail or Wine Tasting Class

Sure, you can go out and get a cocktail with your spouse, but here’s a new, engaging twist on the typical date night. Taking a cocktail class at Assemble Cocktail Workshop takes it up a notch. It’s a chance to dive into the art of mixology together, learn about different spirits, and craft unique cocktails under the guidance of experienced bartenders.

This hands-on activity not only spices up the typical date night but also equips you with skills to recreate romantic evenings at home. The workshop’s cozy atmosphere and personalized attention make it a memorable part of a romantic outing in Boerne. For details on scheduling and offerings, visit Assemble Cocktail Workshop’s website.

8. Trivia and Other Game Nights

Whether you want straight up trivia, Singo, or other sorts of game nights, local spots in Boerne have you covered. You’ll find various game nights at Free Roam, Tapatio, 28 Songs, Pure Country, and more all throughout the week.

9. Live Music

There are a ton of music options in Boerne. In fact, there’s free music almost every night of the week somewhere off Main Street or out in Tapatio Springs. To see who has music when, check out our live music guide.

10. Bowling

Did you know Boerne has a historic bowling alley? The Boerne Turn Verein is a non-profit bowling alley that’s been in Boerne since 1906. It’s a blast from the past. Currently, it’s open late for open bowling on Monday, Friday, and Saturday. Learn more here.

11. Get a Taste of Spain for a Romantic Evening in Boerne

There are a lot of good places to eat in town, but if you’re looking for a romantic night out, there’s one restaurant, in our opinion, that offers something completely unique – Botero Wine Bar + Tapas. Botero stands out not just for its delectable Spanish cuisine but for the whole experience it offers.

Its ambiance oozes romance. You can savor tapas and exquisite wine with your loved one in a dimly lit setting. The live Flamenco music and the intimate patio only heighten the romance, creating an unforgettable evening. It’s a place where every detail contributes to a perfect romantic outing. Oh, and don’t miss out on trying the sangria!

It’s worth noting that while right off Main Street, Botero is tucked back a little bit. I think it gets overlooked, so don’t miss it.

There you have it – 10 romantic things to do in Boerne with your significant other. Is there anything you’d add to this list? Tell us about it in the comments below!
