July 19 @ 8:30 am - 11:00 am
Sunday Honey Creek Nature Hike at Guadalupe River State Park

Explore one of Texas’ last pristine waterways during the Sunday Honey Creek Nature Hike at Guadalupe River State Park. Sponsored by The Friends of Guadalupe River State Park and Honey Creek State Natural Area, the guided interpretive hike offers participants the opportunity to learn about the natural and cultural history of the Honey Creek area while experiencing the beauty of the Texas Hill Country firsthand.

The approximately two-mile trail is moderate in difficulty and includes mostly flat terrain along with rocky areas, slopes, and two short but steep hills. Certified guides will lead hikers through the area while sharing information about local wildlife, ecosystems, geology, and historical significance.

The hike takes place from 8:30 am to 11 am, with participants meeting outside the Rust House located within Guadalupe River State Park. Guests are encouraged to wear sturdy footwear and bring water and sun protection. All ages are welcome, though dogs are not permitted except for service animals.

Registration is required for the event. Additional information and registration are available at https://fs18.formsite.com/TPWD/3wdmx2s3eu/index. Questions may be directed to honeycreekhikes@gmail.com.
