Young people ages 13 to 18 can explore environmental conservation, leadership, and community service through Trailblazers Fall 2026 at The Cibolo Center for Conservation.

This hands-on program gives participants opportunities to explore conservation careers, develop public speaking and teamwork skills, discover volunteer opportunities, and participate in a Citizen Science project. Students should expect to spend time outdoors and stay active while learning about ways they can contribute to conservation efforts. Participants can earn up to 10 hours of community service during the semester.

The Fall 2026 schedule includes Creek and Trash Clean-Up on September 5 from 10 am to noon, Friends and Family Night Hike on September 12 from 7:45 to 9:15 pm, Butterfly Day Volunteering on October 24 from 10 am to noon, Halloween Animal Education on October 31 from 10 am to noon, Winter Birding on December 5 from 10 am to noon, and the Trailblazers & Ambassadors Christmas Party on December 11 from 6 to 8 pm.

Activities may include removing invasive plants, restoring areas affected by human traffic, guided nature hikes, volunteering at Herff Farm and Garden, meeting conservation professionals, team-building activities, and Citizen Science.
