Take the plunge for a great cause at the Freezin’ for a Reason Boerne Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Boerne City Lake, located at 100 Boerne City Lake Park. This exhilarating event supports over 2,000 Special Olympics Texas athletes by providing year-round sports training, competition, and health programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The plunge is open to all ages, with children under 12 required to participate with a parent or guardian. Floaties and life vests will not be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own if needed. A lifeguard will be on duty, and all participants must sign a waiver.

Awards will be given for the top individual fundraiser, the team that raises the most money, and the best costume.

Event Schedule:

• Registration begins at 9:30 am
• Opening ceremonies at 10 am
• The plunge starts at 10:15 am

Entry Fees:

• $40 for adults
• $25 for youth
