Boerne will host a special Purple Heart Day ceremony on August 7, 2025, beginning at 9:30 am at Boerne Veterans Plaza, 801 S Main Street. The event includes the dedication of a new Purple Heart Tribute Monument and a Purple Heart Park Bench. Attendees will enjoy a live performance by Friends in Harmony and the National Anthem sung by retired U.S. Army band director Jim Manzo. Boerne Champion High School’s JROTC will also make a special appearance. Purple Heart recipients and their families are invited to enjoy a free lunch at Compadres following the ceremony.
