The Diablo del Desperado Trail Race brings grit, heat, and high reward to the rugged trails of the Texas Hill Country. Set for Saturday, September 27, with a 7:30 am start time, this endurance challenge takes place at the private Desperado Resort, located at 646 FM 474, Boerne, TX 78006.

Designed for runners who thrive in tough conditions, the course offers 30K, 10K, and 5K options through rocky canyon trails, steep ascents, and winding single track terrain. Expect minimal shade and plenty of classic late-September Texas heat—hot, humid, and demanding.

Aid stations will be fully stocked with cold water, electrolytes, fuel, and first aid to support runners along the course. At the finish line, participants can cool off with a refreshing dip in the Guadalupe River, located just steps away.

All finishers will receive a race shirt and a medal as a reward for conquering the course.

Spectators are welcome but must purchase a $10 “Buddy Pass” in advance, as the venue is private property.
