The Nature Box Workshop at Cibolo Nature Center offers a free informational and training session for those interested in volunteering with the Nature Box outreach program. Designed for individuals who want to lead or assist with nature-based activities in elementary classrooms, the workshop introduces participants to the program’s goals, curriculum, and hands-on teaching approach. The curriculum aligns with the latest TEKS standards, and no prior expertise is required, as all materials are provided.

The workshop takes place on January 8, 2026, from 9 am to 12:30 pm at Cibolo Nature Center. The morning begins with sign-in, refreshments, and introductions at 9 am, followed by the training session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Topics covered during the workshop include fossils, night and day patterns in the sky, and the changing Earth.
