Families can spend the night outdoors during the annual Family Camp Out and Fishing Tournament at Boerne City Lake Park on Saturday, October 3, beginning at 10 am. Hosted by Boerne Parks and Recreation, the event offers an opportunity to camp at the lake during the only time of year when overnight camping is permitted at the park.

Participation in the campout is free, but advance online registration is required. Registration opens September 1, 2026, through the City of Boerne’s recreation registration website.
