If you’ve never experienced Boerne all lit up during Christmas, then you’re missing out! Between lights throughout the city and all of the various festivals and drive-thru displays, there are some amazing ways to see Christmas lights in Boerne.
That said, let’s take a look at where you can see the best lights around town.
The Jones CHRISTmas Ranch

Location: 43360 Interstate 10 West Frontage Rd, Boerne, TX 78006
One of the Hill Country’s biggest and brightest traditions is officially back. The Jones Christmas Ranch opened for the 2025 season on November 7, bringing more than 4 million synchronized lights to life across their massive drive-thru display.
This year comes with something new — a special indoor Christmas experience on select weekends. Entrance for the indoor experience is free to do some amazing photo ops, and tickets can be purchased to see Santa, get hot cocoa/cider, decorate cookies/crafts, and more.
Jones Christmas Ranch is a small, family-run labor of love that has grown from a neighborhood display into a full 32-acre Christmas wonderland. Featured on ABC’s Great Christmas Light Fight, the ranch welcomes thousands of families each year while supporting Shine Bright Ministries, which provides Christmas celebrations for local shelters and children in need.
The drive-thru is open every night through December 31. Learn more here.
The Hill Country Mile

Location: The Hill Country Mile, Boerne, TX 78006
Main Street is what truly makes Christmas great in Boerne. All the businesses join together with the city to light up The Hill Country Mile. And the City decorates City Hall, Main Plaza, and more.
The City and local businesses go all out, dressing up storefronts with twinkling lights and seasonal decorations.
During the holidays, I go out of my way to drive up and down Main Street at night as often as I can, or even go for nice slow walks to take it all in.
If you want to stroll and look, you can park at City Hall or Boerne Visitors Center, or even along Main Street to explore at your own pace.
Weihnachts Christmas Parade on Main Street
Location: The Hill Country Mile, Boerne, TX 78006
To see Main Street at it’s absolute lit up best, you need to get to the Christmas parade. Boerne’s 38th annual Weihnachts Christmas Parade will return on December 6 at 6 p.m.
Nearly 100 floats light up Main Street, creating a festive scene. It’s bright. It’s loud. And it’s a whole lot of fun. Bring a chair to enjoy the show – but get there early. People start lining the streets with their chairs throughout the day to save their spots. The show is capped off with an appearance by Santa himself at the end.
Boerne Bright
Location: 631 South School Street, Boerne, Texas 78006
Boerne Bright is a free, family-friendly Christmas light experience featuring nearly 400,000 synchronized lights, a Children’s Gingerbread Village with activities, and festive snacks. Running from December 5 to December 21 on Fridays through Sundays, the event also includes photo opportunities and holiday music.
And don’t forget the Christmas Train!
It’s hosted by First Baptist Church Boerne, with a focus on the birth of Jesus as the centerpiece of Christmas.

Old West Christmas Light Fest at Enchanted Springs Ranch
Location: 242 State Hwy 46 W Unit C, Boerne, Texas 78006
Headed out 46 towards Pipe Creek lies Enchanted Springs Ranch. And during Christmas time, you can step into an Old West town transformed by over two million lights at Old West Christmas Light Fest.
Running select nights from November 28 through December 23rd, enjoy live music, food trucks, Santa photos, and fun activities like laser tag and scavenger hunts for a night the whole family will love.
Crumbling Castle Lights

Location: 571 FM 289, Comfort, TX 78013
Okay, this is technically in Comfort, but it’s close enough that it belongs on our list. In fact, it feels like it’s more in between Comfort and Boerne. If you’ve ever been to Joshua Springs Park and Preserve, this is right up the road from it.
Drive through Crumbling Castle Lights for a whimsical experience in a forested setting. Highlights include light tunnels, reindeer, fantastical creatures and more. It opens November 21st and runs through December 31st. Learn more here.
What about Hinojosa’s Family Light Display?
The Hinojosa family’s popular display will be missed this year as they’ve relocated. Their lights have been a bright spot in Boerne’s holiday scene for years, and we’re sad to see them go!
Enjoy all that Boerne has to offer this holiday season, with plenty of light displays and festive charm to make your visit magical!
What about the Parade of Lights?
The Boerne Parks and Recs Department used to hold an annual contest where residents and businesses could sign up to compete for the best light display. The city would post a map so residents could drive around and see all the lights.
Unfortunately, this is no longer happening. That said, we definitely recommend heading over to Woodside Village, a neighborhood that was a fixture in Parade of Lights. Nearly every single house in the neighborhood is dressed up fancy for the holidays!
