The Kendall Amateur Radio Society (KARS) invites the public to its annual Field Day event on June 28 and 29 at the AgriCultural Museum & Arts Center in Boerne. This national event showcases how amateur radio works reliably under nearly any conditions by setting up temporary stations outdoors. Visitors will be able to see ham radio in operation, learn about emergency communication practices, and even try speaking on the air.

The event runs from 12 pm to 8 pm on Saturday, June 28, and from 6 am to 3 pm on Sunday, June 29. This hands-on experience highlights the science, skill, and community of ham radio, with opportunities to camp, picnic, and explore STEM concepts in a fun and educational setting.
