Art AfterHours – Paper Clay Vintage Pots at Hill Country Council for the Arts

Art AfterHours – Paper Clay Vintage Pots is a two-part workshop that explores the decorative art of embellishing terracotta pots using paper clay and traditional finishing techniques. Participants will work with mold casting to create ornamental details inspired by old-world architectural elements, then apply those embellishments to a classic terracotta pot. The process continues with painting, washes, antiquing, and gilding wax to achieve a timeless, vintage finish suited for patios, gardens, or decorative display.
This two-part series will take place on August 18 and August 25 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Hill Country Council for the Arts, located at 102 City Park Rd., Boerne, TX 78006. Admission for the full series is $70 and includes instruction and materials. The workshop is designed for all skill levels and offers a hands-on opportunity to create a distinctive keepsake using modern paper clay combined with historic decorative techniques.
