Art AfterHours – Suminagashi Ink offers an introduction to the traditional Japanese art of marbling by floating ink on water to create fluid, one-of-a-kind designs. Participants will experiment with brushes, drops, and other tools as ink moves across the water’s surface, forming swirling, organic patterns that are transferred onto paper. This meditative process celebrates movement, balance, and the beauty of chance in artmaking.

The workshop will take place on July 21 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Hill Country Council for the Arts, located at 102 City Park Rd., Boerne, TX 78006. Admission is $35 and includes instruction and materials. This class is suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike who are interested in printmaking, paper arts, or exploring a historic decorative technique.
