Sew It Fabulous is offering a five-session Beginner Quilting Workshop designed for those ready to explore the art of quilt-making. Students will learn the fundamentals of fabric selection, rotary cutting, thread use, mastering a 1/4″ seam allowance, and assembling traditional quilt blocks. Participants will leave with a completed quilt top, a binder full of workshop resources, and the confidence to continue quilting on their own.

The first session will take place on Saturday, September 27 from 9:30 am to noon at the Sew It Fabulous store at 111 Parkway Dr., Suite 101, Boerne, TX. Sessions 2 through 5 will be held at an offsite classroom at 111 Canyon Ridge Dr., Boerne, TX. The remaining class dates are October 4, 11, 18, and 25, all from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Tuition is $150 for all five sessions and includes a binder with materials and patterns. Supplies are not included, but participants will receive a 20% discount on in-store purchases during the first session. A $15 portion of the fee is non-refundable; the balance is refundable as store credit up to 14 days before the workshop begins.

Participants must have a working sewing machine, a 1/4″ foot, and the ability to thread and operate their machine. Instructor Kathleen Swafford, a passionate quilter and longtime Sew It Fabulous team member, will guide students through each step of the process.
