Families are invited to enjoy a day of outdoor fun at the annual Boerne Family Fishing Tournament on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Boerne City Lake Park. Hosted by Boerne Parks and Recreation, this free event offers a great opportunity for children and parents to enjoy the sport of fishing together in a safe and scenic setting.

The tournament coincides with Texas Free Fishing Day, meaning adults can fish without a license. The event will begin with check-in at 7:30 am, followed by a pre-tournament meeting at 8:45 am. Fishing takes place from 9 am to 11 am, with awards and raffle prizes presented from 11 am to 12 pm.

This tournament is a fun and educational way to introduce children to fishing and enjoy quality time outdoors. Registration opens May 1, 2025.
