Father’s Day weekend in Boerne will be filled with music, games, family fun, and German-inspired festivities during Das Festival of Kendall 2026 at Main Plaza Park. The three-day celebration brings together live entertainment, contests, food, and community traditions in the heart of downtown Boerne.

The festival will take place June 19 through June 21. Festivities begin Friday evening with the first-ever Das Pageant at 6 pm followed by live music to kick off the weekend celebration.

Saturday and Sunday activities will include a watermelon eating contest, egg toss, sanctioned beer stein holding contest, wheelbarrow races, the famous dachshund races, live music throughout the weekend, food vendors, craft vendors, and beer served from the gazebo at Main Plaza. Guests can also enjoy the festival parade on Saturday morning at 10 am.

The event offers activities for all ages and celebrates the community spirit and German heritage traditions of the Texas Hill Country.
