Creative storytelling and mixed-media art come together during “Dis-Carded” with Julie Jarvis at The Downtown DIY. Held on the second Tuesday of each month, this relaxed workshop encourages participants to explore personal creativity through a variety of artistic techniques and mixed-media materials.

The July session will take place on Tuesday, July 14 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Guests can transform old stamps, letters, vintage papers, junk mail, photographs, and other memorabilia into handmade cards, junk journals, and meaningful one-of-a-kind art pieces. The studio offers a wide selection of ephemera, papers, stickers, tools, and mixed-media supplies to inspire unique creations throughout the class.

Julie Jarvis’s approachable and individual-centered teaching style makes the workshop welcoming for beginners while also offering inspiration and creative freedom for experienced artists. Because participants incorporate their own memorabilia and artistic ideas, every project reflects a personal and distinctive style.
