Mixed-media creativity and artistic self-expression take center stage during “Dis-Carded” with Julie Jarvis at The Downtown DIY. Held on the second Tuesday of each month, this workshop encourages participants to experiment with a variety of materials and techniques while developing their own creative style.

The August session will take place on Tuesday, August 11 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Guests can transform vintage papers, old letters, stamps, junk mail, photographs, and other memorabilia into handmade cards, junk journals, and one-of-a-kind art pieces. The studio provides a wide assortment of ephemera, papers, stickers, tools, and mixed-media supplies to inspire creative exploration throughout the class.

Julie Jarvis’s approachable teaching style makes the workshop accessible for beginners while also offering inspiration and flexibility for experienced artists. Each session is designed to be unique, allowing participants to incorporate personal materials and artistic ideas into every project.
