Creative experimentation and mixed-media art come together during “Dis-Carded” with Julie Jarvis at The Downtown DIY. Held on the second Tuesday of each month, this relaxed workshop encourages participants to explore artistic expression through a variety of materials, textures, and creative techniques.

The September session will take place on Tuesday, September 8 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Guests can transform old letters, stamps, vintage papers, junk mail, artwork, and personal memorabilia into handmade cards, junk journals, and meaningful one-of-a-kind creations. The studio provides a large assortment of ephemera, mixed-media supplies, stickers, papers, and tools to support a wide range of artistic styles and ideas.

Led by Julie Jarvis, the workshop is designed to be approachable for beginners while still offering inspiration and creative flexibility for experienced artists. Because each participant incorporates their own materials and personal perspective, no two projects are ever alike.
