Explore the art of mixed-media creativity during “Dis-Carded” with Julie Jarvis on Tuesday, December 8, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at The Downtown DIY, located at 206 W. Highland Dr., Boerne, TX 78006.

Held on the second Tuesday of each month, this hands-on workshop is led by local mixed-media artist Julie Jarvis and introduces a variety of creative techniques designed to help participants discover and develop their own artistic style. Using items such as vintage papers, old stamps, letters, artwork, junk mail, photographs, and other meaningful materials, guests can create unique handmade cards, junk journals, and mixed-media art.

The studio provides a generous selection of ephemera, papers, stickers, mixed-media supplies, and specialty tools, making it easy for both beginners and experienced artists to experiment and create. Each session offers a welcoming environment where every project reflects the individual creativity of its maker.
