The Cibolo Center for Conservation presents Fungi Feast: A Mushroom Cooking Experience, a hands-on culinary event that explores the gourmet world of fungi. This educational and flavorful evening will take place on Thursday, August 21, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at the Gathering Hall at Herff Farm, located at 33 Herff Rd, Boerne, TX.

Led by experts from the Central Texas Mycological Society, the evening begins with a short educational presentation on both cultivated and wild mushroom species. A live cooking demonstration will follow, featuring mouthwatering recipes and tips on preparing mushrooms like the richly savory Coconut Chicken of the Woods. Depending on recent weather conditions, seasonal wild-foraged specialties such as chanterelles may also be featured.

Instructor Angel Schatz, a longtime urban gardener and mushroom cultivator, brings her passion for ecology and mycology education to the table. With mushrooms sourced responsibly from local farms and wild patches, this event is perfect for food lovers and curious minds alike.
