Herff Farm Bird Survey at Cibolo Center for Conservation

Birders of all skill levels are invited to participate in a monthly bird survey at Herff Farm, an excellent opportunity to observe and document local bird species while enhancing identification skills. Volunteers will count birds across riparian, savannah, and human-structure habitats, with results recorded in eBird, a database managed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
The survey takes place on the third Monday of each month, beginning at 8 am and concluding by 11:30 am. Participants will meet at Herff Farm before heading out on a walking route covering several miles of mostly flat terrain.
This initiative is co-sponsored by Bexar Audubon Society and Cibolo Center for Conservation and is approved for Alamo and Hill Country Master Naturalist volunteer hours. The survey is led by a member of Bexar Audubon Society.
