Historic Landmark Commission Meeting

February 4, 2025 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Boerne City Hall

The Historic Landmark Commission meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m., with special meetings held as needed. These meetings take place in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 447 N. Main Street in Boerne.

The commission works to promote historical preservation in the city by investigating and reviewing matters related to the protection, enhancement, and use of historic landmarks, districts, and structures. Their responsibilities include reviewing applications for historic landmark designation, construction and restoration permits in historic districts, historic preservation tax exemptions, and making recommendations on amendments to historic districts.

For questions about applications or historic preservation, contact Sara Varvarigos, the staff liaison, at (830) 248-1630 or via email. Applications must be submitted through the SmartGov portal, as paper applications are no longer accepted.

For more information on meeting agendas, minutes, and video streams, visit here. Meetings are open to the public, and community participation is encouraged.
