Young readers can spend time sharing stories and cuddles with shelter animals during Jurassic Journeys: Roar & Read at Boerne Animal Care Services. This summer reading program combines literacy practice with animal companionship, giving participants the opportunity to read aloud to shelter animals in a calm and supportive environment.

The program takes place every Tuesday from 1 pm to 2 pm. Children and volunteers can enjoy reading to animals while offering shelter pets extra attention, comfort, and social interaction through gentle companionship and story time.
