Nature-inspired creativity and family fun come together during the Mommy & Me Fairy House Workshop at The Downtown DIY. Designed for adults and children to create side-by-side, this hands-on workshop combines crafting, imaginative play, and outdoor exploration in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

The workshop will take place on Monday, June 29 from 10 am to 12 pm. The experience begins with a short outdoor scavenger hunt where families can collect natural treasures such as sticks, leaves, and small rocks to incorporate into their fairy house creations. Each ticket includes two wooden fairy houses — one for the adult participant and one for the child — with several different house styles available for customization.

Participants will paint and decorate their fairy houses using whimsical embellishments including moss, mushrooms, greenery, and paper florals. Each project also includes a fairy-themed activity card designed to encourage early learning skills such as counting, sequencing, and following directions while crafting together.

The workshop is recommended for ages 4 and older, and no prior experience is required. Families are welcome to leave once their projects are completed. Fairy houses are decorative and intended for indoor use or covered outdoor areas, as they are not weatherproof.
