Night Hike at Honey Creek State Natural Area

Explore Honey Creek State Natural Area after dark during a guided night hike with Ranger Gil on Friday, November 6. Participants will hike approximately 1.5 miles along the area’s new trails beneath the stars and moon while learning about the animals that inhabit the natural area at night. Hikers may even catch a glimpse of some of the local nocturnal wildlife.
The hike runs from 7 to 8:30 pm and is open to all ages. Participants should bring sturdy walking shoes, water, and a flashlight or headlamp, preferably with a red lens. Dogs are not permitted.
Advance registration is required by emailing HoneyCreekSNA@tpwd.texas.gov. Include your name, the number of people in your group, and the date you wish to attend. The hike is limited to the first 15 registrants, and registration closes at 3 pm on the Thursday before the hike.
The group will meet at the kiosk at Honey Creek State Natural Area, 558 Park Road 31, Spring Branch, TX 78070. Apple Maps may not provide accurate directions, so an alternate mapping service is recommended.
Admission to the natural area is $2 for adults, while children 12 and under enter free. Day passes can be purchased in advance through Honey Creek State Natural Area’s reservation page.
For ADA accommodations, submit a request through the accessibility request form or email accessibility@tpwd.texas.gov at least 30 days in advance. Natural area programs are subject to change or cancellation due to inclement weather.
