Young makers can create their own miniature Halloween storefront during this imaginative, hands-on craft workshop at The Downtown DIY. Participants will transform simple popsicle sticks into adorable Halloween shops using colorful paint, tiny signs, festive decorations, and whimsical embellishments. Each child can decide what their storefront sells, from potions and candy to spooky treats, magical brooms, or ghostly goodies.

The workshop takes place Saturday, October 24, from 10 am to 12 pm. All materials are provided, including paint, embellishments, signs, decorative accessories, and step-by-step instruction. Each participant will take home a finished Halloween storefront to display throughout the season.

The workshop is recommended for ages 7 and older. Children ages 7–11 must be accompanied by a participating adult, while participants ages 12 and older may attend independently. The project involves using scissors to trim popsicle sticks and cut small decorative pieces. A low-temperature hot glue gun may be used with adult supervision, and child-friendly craft glue will also be available.
