Prairie Bird Review at the Cibolo Center for Conservation

The Cibolo Center for Conservation will host a Prairie Bird Review class designed to help birders better identify the many “little brown birds” commonly seen on winter prairies. This free session is ideal for both newcomers and seasoned birdwatchers looking for a refresher on key observation skills and identification tips before heading into the field. The class will take place on December 13 from 9 am to 12 pm at the Cibolo Nature Center, located at 140 City Park Road, Boerne, TX 78006.
Participants will learn what to watch for when surveying prairie habitats and gain confidence in distinguishing the bird species that appear during the colder months. Those inspired by the class will also be eligible to volunteer for the Winter Prairie Bird Surveys. This educational morning offers a helpful and engaging way to enhance birding knowledge while enjoying the natural surroundings of the Cibolo.
