Book lovers can enjoy a cozy fall morning of painting, pumpkin spice lattes, and book sharing during this creative workshop led by Deborah Fitzhugh. The event takes place Sunday, October 18, from 10 am to 12 pm at The Downtown DIY.

Participants will receive step-by-step guidance to paint a book-inspired design on a canvas tote bag, with templates, instruction, and all supplies provided. No painting experience is required. The workshop also includes a Mystery Book Exchange, with each guest asked to bring one wrapped, gently used book. Participants should keep the title covered and write three clues about the book on the outside of the wrapping, such as its genre, setting, overall vibe, or a favorite trope. At the end of the workshop, guests can exchange their mystery books and leave with a hand-painted book bag and a new-to-them read.
