The City of Boerne Parks and Recreation Department will host a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the newly renovated Ammie’s Playground at City Park on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 4 pm.

The playground has been enhanced to promote inclusive play for children of all ages and abilities. Updates include a smooth rubberized surface for improved accessibility, along with new play features such as a Celebration Spinner, Inclusive Swing Seat, Butterfly Photo Station, Toddler Musical Instrument, and Buddy Bench to foster friendship and connection.

The event will also include a dedication in honor of Annmarie “Ammie” Palacios, whose joy and kindness inspired the creation of a space where all children can play, laugh, and grow together.
