A ribbon cutting will be held to celebrate the Sisterdale Volunteer Fire Department on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm CST. The event recognizes the department’s long-standing service and commitment to protecting Kendall County and its growing communities.

Established on April 20, 1975, the Sisterdale Volunteer Fire Department is centrally located within Kendall County and serves one of the largest fire districts in the area, covering nearly 150 square miles. The department operates a fleet of nine fire apparatus, including the only air apparatus in Kendall County, and its dedicated volunteers regularly respond to wildland, structural, and commercial fires both locally and throughout the county.
