Young artists are invited to unleash their creativity during Scoop, Sculpt & Sprinkle Camp, a two-day art camp taking place Tuesday, July 28, and Thursday, July 30, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at The Downtown DIY.

This hands-on camp combines art, imagination, and sweet summer fun as campers create their own paper mâché ice cream sundae masterpieces. Participants will begin by imagining themselves as ice cream shop owners, creating a custom shop name and logo before sculpting a lifelike paper mâché sundae.

After allowing their creations time to dry, campers will return for the second session to paint, decorate, and add colorful toppings and embellishments. The camp concludes with an ice cream sundae celebration and the opportunity to take home their finished artwork.

Camp Activities:

Day 1: Build & Sculpt

• Create a custom ice cream shop name and logo
• Build a paper mâché ice cream sundae sculpture

Day 2: Paint & Decorate

• Paint and customize the sculpture
• Add toppings, details, and embellishments
• Enjoy an ice cream sundae party
• Take home the completed project

The camp is recommended for ages 8–14 as a drop-off program. Children ages 5–7 may participate with an assisting adult.

The registration fee is $99.95 per child and includes both camp sessions, all materials, and the ice cream sundae celebration. Attendance at both camp days is strongly encouraged since the project is completed over two sessions.

Participants are encouraged to wear clothes that can get messy, as paper mâché and painting activities are part of the experience. Families with food allergies or dietary restrictions are encouraged to notify organizers in advance so accommodations can be made whenever possible.
