The event takes place from 8 to 10 pm CDT in the park’s large overflow parking lot, located just up the road from the main river parking lot. Look for the blue “Stargazing Tonight” sign along the park road across from the overflow lot.

Visitors arriving after hours without an existing day pass reservation should pay the entrance fee in cash at the self-pay station in the park office parking lot or provide their Texas State Parks Pass information on the self-pay envelope. Day-use reservations can also be made online at Texas State Parks Reservations.

Weather conditions may affect the event. If cloud cover or other weather issues require cancellation, updates will be posted on the Facebook event page no later than 2 pm on the day of the event.
