A hands-on gardening workshop focused on growing tea takes place during Tea Gardening in Texas on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at Herff Farm, 33 Herff Rd., Boerne, TX 78006.

This interactive class explores how to grow and use more than 30 tea-worthy plants, including roses, native herbs, and traditional tea varieties suited for Central Texas. Participants will learn practical skills such as seasonal planting, harvesting techniques, simple processing methods, and proper storage to enjoy homegrown teas year-round.

Led by educator and urban cultivation coach Austin Davenport, the workshop also covers how to brew and blend teas, offering a deeper connection to gardening and sustainable living. The session is designed for gardeners, tea enthusiasts, and anyone interested in growing plants with purpose.
