The Downtown DIY Handmade Harvest Swap at The Downtown DIY

Celebrate creativity, community, and handmade gifts at The Downtown DIY Handmade Harvest Swap on Thursday, November 12. This cozy two-hour evening brings together local makers for crafting, mingling, snacks, and a White Elephant-style exchange of handmade surprises.
Guests should bring one new, handmade item created by them, wrapped or packaged so its contents remain a surprise. There is no required dollar value; the focus is on thoughtful, personal creations that others would enjoy receiving. Gift ideas include baked treats, homemade jam, candles, knitted or crocheted goods, handmade jewelry, pottery, embroidery, sewn pieces, small paintings, ornaments, paper goods, and home décor. Items created during a Downtown DIY workshop are welcome, too.
The evening begins with time to craft and socialize over cozy drinks and a selection of snacks and treats. Participants will make two mini projects—a personalized motel-style keychain and an embossed copper bookmark—with all necessary materials included in the ticket price. Guests can keep their creations or wrap them as gifts.
After crafting, everyone will gather for the Handmade Harvest White Elephant Exchange, where handmade gifts will be unwrapped, traded, and occasionally stolen in the spirit of the game.
The event runs from 6 to 8 pm CST and is limited to 16 guests to keep the experience intimate and welcoming. Advance registration is required.
The Downtown DIY is located at 206 W. Highland Drive, Boerne, TX 78006.
