April 28, 2025 @ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
What's Happening at Guadalupe River State Park

Life is better outside, and Guadalupe River State Park is just 16 miles away, offering a wide range of outdoor activities for all interests, ages, and abilities. With four miles of river frontage, the Guadalupe River is the heart of the park, inviting visitors to swim, fish, tube, canoe, and kayak. On land, guests can enjoy camping, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking, geocaching, and bird watching.

The park loans fishing gear and kids’ explorer packs for free and features 85 water and electric campsites as well as nine walk-in tent sites. Adventurers can explore 13 miles of hike and bike trails, and when water levels permit, there are multiple options for paddling trips along the river. The more remote Bauer Unit offers moderate to challenging trails through native prairie landscapes, ideal for those seeking a more rugged experience. Please note that the Bauer Unit has no restrooms or potable water.

The Discovery Center provides visitors with an interactive way to learn about the park’s natural features, offering magnifying glasses, microscopes, binoculars, and discovery boxes.

Daily activities vary, so visitors are encouraged to check the online calendar for a full schedule of events. The park is open every day from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Guadalupe River State Park is located at Spring Branch, TX (Latitude: 29.853084, Longitude: -98.504463).

Admission is $7 daily for adults, while children 12 and under are free. Texas State Park Pass holders receive free entry. Reservations for both camping and day use are highly recommended, especially on weekends, as the park often reaches capacity.
